Earline Taylor

October 23, 1931 — May 30, 2017

Earline Stephens Taylor, age 85 of Nixa, went to be with the Lord May 30, 2017. She was born October 23, 1931 at Datto, Arkansas, the daughter of Claud and Vergie McClure Stephens. Earline and husband Jim were united in marriage June 3, 1949 at Pocahontas, Arkansas. Survivors include: husband, Jim; four children; four grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two brothers. Earline was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and two brothers. The family started Taylor Marble Company in Nixa. Earline and Jim retired on Table Rock, and then moved back to Nixa. Earline attended Beaumont High School, St. Louis. She attended Draughans Business College, Springfield. Earline was a homemaker and loved her family. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidering. Earline was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, Ozark. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Dale Grubaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Delaware Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. immediately before the service on Friday in the funeral home.
