Earl Dean Thomas of Ozark passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. He was born December 9, 1931, in Ozark, the son of Albert and Ermyne (Waggoner) Thomas. After graduating from Ozark High School, Earl served his country in the U.S.Air Force from 1952 until 1956.
On May 29, 1954, he and Carole Robison were united in marriage. Earl worked for Boeing Aircraft as an Avionics Technician before returning to the Ozark area to pursue his love of farming. He worked for Zenith Radio Corporation in Springfield as Superintendent of Assembly Operations in the late 60"�s and 70"�s. Earl also worked as a self-employed bulk farm milk pickup hauler for many years until retirement, then began another career as a custom hay baler in the Ozark area. For the past several years he operated Earl"�s Small Engine Service in Ozark.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carole; two sons, Greg Thomas and wife Jolee of Baltimore, Maryland, and Curt Thomas of Kansas City, Missouri; a granddaughter, Shelby Little and husband Clint of Springfield; a brother Bob Thomas and wife Jorene, and a twin brother Verle Thomas and wife Verba, all of Rogersville; three sisters, Irene Roth and Ruth Brooks, both of Springfield, and Carol Sue Cobb and husband, Tom of Ozark; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Angelo of Nixa; his loving canine companion, Eddie; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Dale Thomas, a sister, Juanita Bowden, and his parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 18, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Terry Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral Home.
