Doyle Roger Harris

Mr. Doyle Roger Harris, age 79, of Bruner, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 in Mansfield, Missouri. He was born April 21, 1932 in Sylacauga, Alabama, the son of John Henry and Verna (Skipper) Harris. On January 31, 1952 he was united in marriage to Jane Elizabeth Brading. Doyle was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army and retired honorably December 1, 1969. He was a T-6 Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service serving 23 years and retired in 1992. Doyle was preceded in death by his loving wife Jane Elizabeth "Nana"� Harris on November 4, 1999; his parents, his son, Robert Harris, three brothers Frankie, Walter and Albert Harris, and a sister, Vera Fant. Survivors include: four children and their spouses; Milton D. and Charlotte Harris, Las Vegas, Nevada, Albert and Jerene Harris, Nixa, Missouri, William "Billy"� and Lora Harris, Mansfield, Missouri, Marie Harris, Springfield, Missouri; his sister, Emily Landers and Tommy, Sylacauga, Alabama, and brother John T. Harris and Elizabeth, Sylacauga, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; Tony, Shannon, Amber, Jeff, Andy, Jessica, Allison, Kodi, Jamie, Whitney, Mariah, Beth; and 23 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Darren Melugin officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 5:00 ~ 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the funeral home.
