Dorothy Jo Hawes

Dorothy Jo Hawes, age 68 of Ozark, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011. She was born November 13, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Grover and Jesse (Piper) Purcell. On August 24, 1963 she was united in marriage to James Lee Hawes. James preceded Dorothy in death in 2008. Survivors include: two daughters, Janet Fields and Kathy Mooney and husband Keith, all of Ozark; three grandsons, Jonathan Fields and Brandon and Kyle Mooney; three sisters, Patricia Bradley and husband Harold, Mary Johnston and Barbara Krueger and husband Terry, all of Illinois. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday, May 4 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Don McClintock officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Wednesday immediately before the service in the funeral home.
