Dorothy Goodall

March 29, 1926 — July 15, 2021

Dorothy Goodall, 95, of Spokane passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Dorothy was born on March 29, 1926 in Christian County; the daughter of Earnest and Sallie (Davis) Roberts. She was a strong woman, one of the last of a passing generation that exhibited a strength and determination not seen since. She always had a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen when you were in need. Dorothy worked 39 years as a garment factory worker. First for A&A, and then, following its closure, for Hagale’s. She was also an “Avon Lady” for 42 years, selling various makeup sundries. Outside of work Dorothy loved embroidery. Even though her eyesight had degenerated, she was still able to create intricate and detailed designs. She also loved her flower garden and spending time taking care of it. Finally, she adored time with her family, especially her grandkids. Surviving are: three children, Sally Cannon and husband, Richard, of Spokane, Lynn Goodall and wife, Linda, of Spokane, and Glenda Davis of Reed’s Spring; nine grandchildren, Michael Cannon, Mahaley Cannon, Lorie Jackson, Chris Goodall, Thomas Goodall, Rebecca Smith, Janie Newby, Janice Merritt, and Ronda Hester; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill. A Graveside Funeral will be held for Dorothy at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 19, 2021 in Spokane Cemetery, where she will be interred next to her late husband.
