Dorothy Helen Condict ascended to heaven on Monday, April 21, 2014. She was born October 3, 1921 in Albany, New York, the daughter of Charles and Louise Schaupp. In 1942 she and Hal Wear Condict were united in marriage.
Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, and caring for their needs. She was a registered nurse for St. John's Hospital before retirement, and continued to strive to care for the needs of others even as a resident of Ozark Riverview Manor.
Dorothy had been a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark since the church was built.
Survivors include: three children and their spouses, Pete Condict and wife Lukchan of Korat, Thailand, Tom Condict and wife Glenda of Neosho, and Teresa Hammons and husband Dan, of Sparta; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband of over fifty years, Hal; a son, Michael W. Condict; a brother, Charles Schaupp; a sister, Myrtle Schaupp, and her parents.
A funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark. Burial will follow in Springfield National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
