Doris June Young

Doris Young from Nixa, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. She was born in Nixa, Missouri on December 28, 1936 to Alan and Vesta Glenn. She was a retired teacher from the Nixa Public School System where she taught for 29 years. Doris is survived by her husband, Keith, with whom she was married for 57 years. Her children include Phil Young, Dianne Young Litts, and Brad Young. She has a daughter-in-law, Sherri Peebles Young and son-in-law Daniel Litts. Her 5 grandchildren include Mason and Kendall Young, Parker and Collin Litts, and Sydney Davis. She is also survived by a sister, Irene Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society on her behalf. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at the Nixa Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 400 Northview Road, Nixa, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
