Donna Joy Todd

May 3, 1937 — March 25, 2025

Sparta

Donna Joy Todd of Sparta, Missouri, left this world to be with her Lord on March 25, 2025. She was born on May 3, 1937, to Bill and Romalda (Abbott) Davenport and lived a life filled with love, devotion, and faith. Donna showed her love for the Lord serving others and dedicating herself to Sparta Christian Church for many years.

On Valentine’s Day in 1956, she married Carol Todd beginning a beautiful 69-year love story. Donna was the heart of her family, making every moment special—whether it was a homemade scratch cake for every birthday, a lovingly prepared meal for each family member, or holiday celebrations that felt like pure magic. She believed in creating memories, in turning simple traditions into treasured legacies, and in making sure every person she loved felt cherished.

She was a storyteller at heart, creating the “Sisterhood of Smelter Springs” to share family history in a way that was both fun and meaningful, ensuring that future generations never forgot their roots.

In her free time, she found joy in gardening, reading, puzzles, and crafting, always creating something beautiful with her hands and her heart.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Nana, whose love and warmth touched countless lives. Though she is no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her legacy of faith, love, and storytelling will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
