Donna Stevens

Donna L. Stevens, age 73, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Donna L. Stevens (Harris) was born in Sioux City, Iowa on May 19, 1949, to the late Harry and Lucille Harris. Donna attended Homer Community School 31R, graduating in 1967. She continued her education and attended Tyler Beauty School in 1968. Donna also attended Morningside College for two years. Donna worked as a hairdresser for 10 years; then worked at Bottenfield Beauty Supply for two years.

Donna met Gary Stevens in 1979, marrying on July 7, 1979. They lived in Omaha for two years. They moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska and purchased the business Tastee Inn and Out. They ran the business for 13 years. After the business sold, they moved to Nixa, Missouri. Donna worked at Big Cedar Lodge and then at Evans Trailer for 13 years until her retirement in 2009.

Donna attended and was an active member of Cassidy United Methodist Church in Ozark, Missouri. Donna loved cooking and baking. She loved her two dogs Tori and Sophie. Donna also enjoyed participating in theater and choir.

Donna is survived by her "daughter", Lisa Anderson; brothers Dennis (Betty) and Raymond (Tammy); nephews Rod (Mindy), Ryan (Angie), Ricky (Terri); and great nephews and nieces Hunner, Grace, Emilee, Riley, Annah, Oliver, Lucas, Sophia, and Lizette. Also survived by longtime close friends Arlene (Wil), Lindstrom, Bryson Bartels, Kelley (Kevin) Niemeyer and Chloe, as well as good friend Yvonne MacFarland.

Crremation rites have been accorded by Adams Crematory.  Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
