Donna Kerr

Donna Virginia Kerr, age 58, of Fair Grove, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, in her home. On July 4, 1959, she was the "firecracker" born to Shirley and Evelyn (Wilson) Mayhall. Proud of her confederate heritage, she was born and lived in Vicksburg, MS. She attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Donna served six years in the U.S. Army and was discharged at Ft. Leonard Wood. She was recruited by the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners at that time and served for 25 years in Springfield before retirement. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and trail riding. Donna and Bill looked forward to motorcycle trips and were able to ride the "Tail of the Dragon" in North Carolina last year. Donna was energetic and loved her family above all. Survivors include: her husband Bill; four children, Matt Tibbetts, and Tiffany Tibbetts, both of Springfield, Devon Tibbetts of Dallas, TX, and Destiny Redmon of Republic; a grandson Koen; a sister, Debbie Walker, and a brother, David Mayhall, both of Vicksburg; and her first husband, Thomas Tibbetts of Springfield. Her parents and a brother, Carter Mayhall preceded her in death. A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
