Donna Mae Jahn

Donna Mae Jahn, age 61, of Nixa, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011. She was born February 9, 1950 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Madeline (Coontz) Ehlers. Mrs. Jahn was employed by Hiland Dairy for 24 years in the accounts payable department. She loved her family, and will be dearly missed by them. She enjoyed shopping and gardening. At an early age she was baptized and confirmed into the Minden United Church of Christ. Survivors include: Her son, Todd Meaney and wife Cindi, Cheyenne, Wyoming; a daughter, Melissa Torgeson and husband Chuck, Nixa, Missouri; a granddaughter, Amber Meaney; her mother, Madeline Ehlers, Council Bluffs, Iowa; a brother, Larry Ehlers and wife Dianne, Minden, Iowa; three sisters, Peg McCool and husband Gene, Shelby, Iowa, Laree See and husband Randy, Harrison, Arkansas, and Sandy Schnoor and husband Ron, Manilla, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Ehlers, a sister, Jan Evans, fraternal and maternal grandparents, and an uncle, Ron Ehlers. A memorial service will be 6:30 PM Friday, April 22, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Vaughn Weatherford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials in Donna?s memory may be made to the family. The family would like to personally thank everyone for the cards, phone calls, visits and prayers that were sent Donna's way while hospitalized. It all helped lift her spirits greatly.
