Donna Jean Cook, age 79, of Highlandville passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. She was born August 5, 1940 in Jay, Oklahoma to Earl and Daisey Olive (Armstrong) Wade. Donna married Darrell Cook in February of 1959.
Donna was a cosmetologist for over 50 years and owned Sunshine Hair Company in Springfield for many years. She enjoyed working and visiting with her customers. She earned a degree in telecommunications at DeVry University in Kansas City, KS. Donna was an avid bowler and she was on many bowling leagues. Her family was most important to her and loved providing a loving home for her family. Donna attended Immanuel Lutheran church in Springfield for many years.
Survivors include her husband Darrell celebrating 61 years of marriage; her daughters Victoria Gonzalez of Highlandville, Regina Terp of Mt. Vernon; and son Robert cook, his wife Laura of Pleasant Hope; grandchildren Tara Sietstra, David Cook, Zakary Terp, Katherine Wilson, Jacob Cook, Kenneth Cook, Charley Cook, Robert Cook, Sasha Cook; sisters Virginia Looney, Helen Winder, her husband Dave, and Nettie Watts; a brother Earl Wade, his wife Gloria; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, and a son Richard Cook.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM August 5, 2020 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Reverend Rich Ramsbacher officiating.
