Donald “Jack” Glidewell, Sr., age 86 of Ozark, passed away in his home on November 13, 2021. He was born February 17, 1935 in Reno Holler, the son of Ray Melton and Elizabeth (Daniel) Glidewell.
Jack attended elementary school in Galena and high school in Spokane. After meeting Shirley Carlynn Fausett in Reeds Spring, they were married August 1, 1953. Shirley preceded Jack in death on December 26, 2019.
Jack and Shirley owned and operated their dairy farm and trucking business, raised three children, and were blessed with multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jack was a member of Masonic Lodge #379 in Billings, and a member of Selmore Christian Church in Ozark.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mary Beth Calkin and husband Barry of Ozark; grandchildren, Danny Glidewell, Ben Glidewell and wife Joni, Kimberly Glidewell, Sarah Glidewell, Tomi Glidewell, Lindsey Heeszel and husband David, Keisha Messina and husband Joel, Jackie Glidewell, Elizabeth Day and husband T.J., and Ian Knell and Katye Castleberry; great grandchildren Lyle, Chance, Taylor, D.J., Easton, Gracelynn, Pierson, Anika, Kai, Donovan, Nolan, Josey, Mason and Logan; a sister, Jean Scott and husband Bob; Denise Fender and husband Rodney; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Jack Glidewell Jr, and Thomas Leon Glidewell, a brother, Mack Glidewell; a son-in-law, Dwayne Knell; a daughter-in-law, Micheal Glidewell, and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Selmore Christian Church, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Kenneth Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
