Dina Leigh Miller Teague, age 47, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, in her home, following a valiant battle with cancer. She was born July 17, 1967 in Camp Pendleton, California, the daughter of Merlin and Ann (Harville) Miller. Her parents preceded her in death. Dina was a 1985 graduate of Sparta High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Missouri State University in 1990.
In August, 1989 she married Jay Teague, and to this union two daughters were born, Carleigh and Paige.
Dina worked as a blood bank supervisor for East Cooper Regional Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2012 Dina traveled to Guatemala on a medical mission trip. She always looked for opportunities to help others and was hoping to go to the Philippines to assist those in need. Dina authored two books, "Breathless Cave" and "Five Days in Maine". She was seeking publication of both books before her death.
Survivors include: Two daughters, Carleigh Jae Teague of Charleston, South Carolina, and Paige Marie Teague of Lexington, Kentucky; two sisters and their husbands, Suzanne and Ron Moskalski of Springfield, and Nikki and Rick Thiessen of Nixa; her fianc� Dave Howard of Cordesville, South Carolina; nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
A funeral mass will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 26 in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark, with Father Scott Sunnenberg officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
