Derwin Neal Saunders

Derwin Neal Saunders, age 64, of Nixa left this world Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 4:34PM, before night shift took over - had to be there. He left it knowing he was going. In the face of something that most of us fear, this man still managed to make us laugh. He worried about us and made sure we had everything we needed before he made his journey. We will love this man unconditionally for the rest of our lives. He is the strongest man we know. He made us laugh and showed us love like no other. Derwin was our best friend and he was everyone's friend. Laughter and love were his best qualities, not the only but the best. Derwin was skilled in a lot of things. His profession was tool and die. That is how he earned a living, but his passions were fishing, wood working, playing pool, and making people laugh. We will miss his jokes. Everyone who knew Derwin loved him. He never met a stranger, would always put a smile on your face, and he was an amazing man. There is so much more that could be written about his life. Derwin made us so proud in life. You filled our lives with wonderful fun memories and lots of laughter. We love you and will miss you always until we meet again. Derwin is survived by his wife Dianne; a son Brandon Saunders, his wife Danelle of Millegeville, IL; daughters Tabitha Saunders of Nixa and Abigail Barron of Nixa; 16 grandchildren; siblings Jerry Saunders, his wife Helen of Burnet, TX, Sharon Shinault, her husband Ed of Rock Falls, IL and Dan Saunders, his wife Janie of Monticello, IA. Derwin is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2021in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will precede the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
