Deolvia (Dee) Faye Rampy, 76, passed away on May 15, 2017, at 10:34 PM in her home in Nixa, MO.
Dee was born in Childress, Texas, on December 10, 1940, to John S. and Vera Mae (Lawrence) Allen. She was raised in Amarillo, TX. She raised children while putting herself through cosmetology school, then enjoyed a long career in furniture sales until she retired from Havertys. She also held office in the Amarillo Republican Party. She moved from Amarillo to Nixa, MO in 2005. She volunteered at Mercy Hospital in Springfield and the Senior Citizen Center in Nixa. She loved her family first and foremost. She loves to dance, play games. She had a great sense of humor, and was loved by all. She was a devoted sister, mother, memaw, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ted Allen; one sister, Sammie Kruse; and one daughter, Kerri Michelle Redden of Amarillo, Texas.
She is survived by two sisters Sandra Akin and Nancy Morris; and a brother, Lonnie Allen; children William John Redden, III of Amarillo, TX, Rhonda Mae Harvey of Nixa, MO, Robert Allen Redden of Amarillo, TX, Sherri Renee Botts of Mt. Vernon, MO, Edward Anthony Redden of Springfield, MO, and Brittany Dawn Douglass of Fort Dodge, IA; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11 am, in the sanctuary of Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield, MO.
