Dennis was a proud graduate of Columbiaville High School in the class of 1963. He exhibited great talent as a baseball player and had aspirations to play for the Detroit Tigers before an unforeseen accident altered his path. Driven by a passion for healing others, Dennis pursued a career in Chiropractic care. He embarked on his academic journey at Michigan State University for his undergraduate studies and later obtained his doctorate from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1976. Throughout his 38-year career as a chiropractor, Dennis demonstrated unwavering dedication to his patients, serving the community of Nixa, Missouri for 18 years.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dennis was a devoted family man known affectionately as "Poppy." He took immense pride in the close bond shared by his family, cherishing moments spent together during holidays, Sunday dinners, and birthdays. Fond memories were created over BBQs and poolside gatherings. An individual with a generous spirit, he delighted in watching Hallmark movies with his children and readily provided chiropractic care to family members whenever needed. His favorite little companion was his little Morkie dog "Sophie May" who was by his side constantly.

His daughters loved him dearly.  He was a great girl dad! He loved to joke around with everyone and had a big heart.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife Donna; and son in law Ken Ferguson; daughters Carie LeValley, Corey Cottle and her husband Scott Cottle; sisters Margaret Dorner and her husband Clifford, Florence Knox and her husband Harold; seven grandchildren: Savannah Ferguson and her fiancé Zach Becker, Sydney Morgan and her husband Jacob, Elizabeth Haertel and her husband Skyler, Samantha Butterfield and her husband Shawn, Jonathon Cottle, Kathryn Cottle, and Alex Cottle; as well as two great-grandchildren: Trace Kennard and Hudson Becker.
