Denise Dalton, age 71, of Golden, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 in her home. She was born September 4, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Margaret (Wall) Gangel. On November 8, 1958, she and Melvin L. Dalton were united in marriage. Denise served as a librarian for Mid-Continent Public Library in Kansas City for thirty years before retirement. They moved to Golden in 2004. She enjoyed floral arranging and yard work. At the lake she loved being with her family, boating, jet-skiing, and fishing. Survivors include: Her husband, Melvin; three children, Mel Dalton, Jr. and wife Kelly, Brighton, Dean S. Dalton, Independence, and Melanie Willis and husband Gary, Augusta, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Dalton and wife Jody, Ozark, Leigh Dalton, Whitney Dalton, and Thomas Dalton, all of Kansas City, Audrey Dalton Independence, Colby Willis and Austin Willis, both of Augusta, Kansas; three great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Jared, and Louis Dalton; a sister-in-law, Linda Hoffert, Nixa; and her Golden Retriever, Libby. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 6:00 "� 8:00 PM Monday in the funeral home.
