 Denise Marie Countryman, 52, of Nixa, Missouri, was born on January 13, 1972, to Donald and Shirley (Vivion) Scott in Jefferson City, Missouri. She passed peacefully from this world on Monday, December 16, 2024, after an eight-month battle with glioblastoma.

 Denise graduated from Mountain View/Birch Tree Liberty High School in 1990. Her career in the waste industry began in 1997 when her family started a garbage company in Memphis, Tennessee. She continued her dedicated work in the industry and had been employed by GFL

 In October 1993, Denise married Kurtis Buckner, and had three wonderful children: Brooke, Dustin, and Ryan. Though their marriage ended, Kurtis and Denise remained lifelong friends. In 2019, Denise married Willie Countryman, who brought four children into their family, and was mama niece to 12 cherished grandchildren. Known for her contagious laugh, big smile, and vibrant personality, Denise was the life of every party. To her grandchildren, lovingly called “Grams,” she was a cherished source of joy, comfort, and love. 

 Denise is preceded in death by her father Donald Scott; two brothers Darrell and Douglas Scott; a brother-in-law Jim Suthoff; and a nephew Landis Carr.

 Denise leaves behind her loving husband, Willie Countryman; her mother, Shirley Scott; her children: Brooke (Christopher) Thompson, Dustin Buckner (fiancée Abbey Loveland), and Ryan Buckner; and her grandchildren: Linken, Cleveland, and Cash Thompson. She is also survived by her brothers: David and Dewayne Scott; sisters: Diane Suthoff and Debbie Moore; many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, 12 bonus grandchildren, and dear friends.

 Her cremation has been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, Missouri. 

 Denise will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, December 20, 2024, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
