Delores A. "Dee"� Murphy, age 77, of Ozark passed away July 1, 2013 in her home after a short illness. She was born April 8, 1936 in Fredericktown, Missouri. On April 4, 1954 she was united in marriage to Wayne Murphy in Tunica, Mississippi, and to this union four children were born.
She worked for years in the Branson Entertainment Industry with Shoji Tabuchi, Bobby Vinton and Ray Stevens.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wayne of the home; their children, Paula and John Payne, Ozark, Missouri, Tony and Kim Murphy, Acworth, Georgia, Mark Murphy, Ozark, Missouri, and Tami and Michael Burris, Stillwell, Kansas; a sister Debbie and Dennis Vollrath Columbia, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Verna and Tony Stanfill; and a great-granddaughter, Makayla Murphy Jones.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Carl Claxton and his Hospice Team for their excellent care.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri with Tony Murphy and Sam Kaunley officiating. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in the funeral home.
