Ozark

Della Stine Waymack, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on June 20, 1926, to EJ and Dora (Tunnell) Adams, Della lived a full and beautiful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and creativity.

A proud graduate of Ozark High School's Class of 1944, Della cherished her school years. She played the violin in the school orchestra, harmonized beautifully as an alto singer, and left a mark as a natural leader. After graduation, she kept the bonds of friendship alive by organizing monthly luncheons for her classmates, a beloved tradition that endured for many years.

In 1945, Della married Harold Stine, with whom she shared 47 years of devoted partnership before his passing. Later in life, she found love again and married Ed Waymack, sharing eight wonderful years together. A dedicated wife, Della lovingly cared for both Harold and Ed as their health declined, embodying selflessness and grace.

Della’s life was marked by her compassionate heart and her unwavering desire to serve others. She organized Christian County's World Day of Prayer and dedicated herself to youth ministry. Her true passion, however, was in grief ministy through the Grief Recovery Ministry and the Make Today Count ministry, where her empathy and wisdom brought comfort and hope to countless individuals.

A gifted writer and painter, Della’s creativity knew no bounds. Her book, Sands of Time, captured her reflections and insights, while her paintings remain treasured works displayed throughout the community. She lovingly shared her artistic talents, teaching her grandchildren to paint and inspiring them to see the beauty in the world around them.

Della’s love for nature was profound. She delighted in exploring the outdoors, hunting for watercress, and studying wildflowers. She eagerly shared her knowledge with family and friends during cherished outings, fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world in those she loved.

Above all, Della was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and a beacon of acceptance and love to everyone who became part of her family. Her warmth, kindness, and faith were evident in all she did. A lifelong member of Cassidy Methodist Church, she lived her faith daily, touching countless lives with her gentle spirit and servant’s heart.
