Delilah May Brown, age 81 of Nixa, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. She was born June 30, 1936, the daughter of Conley and Ruby Buchholz.
Delilah was owner of H & R Block in Bolivar, and co-owner in Nixa and Ozark for more than 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Nixa where she was very involved in various church activities, especially the Stephen Ministries. Delilah enjoyed painting, reading and drawing.
Survivors include: her husband Glen Brown of 33 years; her brother, J.E. Buchholz and wife Ann; her niece, Danielle Allred and husband Jeff; two great nieces, Amanda and Gracee Allred; three great nephews, Keaton Buchholz and wife Deborah, Josh Garoutte and wife Ashley, and Logan Hampton; a great great niece, Kerrigan Buchholz; a great great nephew, Rhys Garoutte; and many other family and friends.
Delilah was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Todd Buchholz; and a niece, Starr Hampton.
Delilah loved spending time with her family and friends, and her little dog Bella. She was loved by many.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Reverend Dennis Miller and Reverend Sarah Fotopulos officiating. Burial will follow in Glenn Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M. Tuesday at the church.
