Debbie was born on April 10, 1963 to David and Judy Bronner in Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a 1981 graduate of Wilton High School in Wilton, Iowa. She married Terry Shook on March 31, 1990 at the United Methodist Church in Wilton, Iowa.
She was our high-spirited family coordinator. She enjoyed her time at the lake boating, but above anything else, she loved nothing more than spending time with her family and taking care of everyone. She was an avid sports fan, and was an active participant (from coaching to aggressively cheering and correcting referees) at all of her children and grandchildren's sporting events. She was a devoted wife and mother, with great love for her husband Terry and their children.
Debbie is lovingly remembered by her husband, Terry Shook, her children, Chad Shook, Beth Pettifurd, Ryan (Marie) Shook, Jeremy (Emily) Shook, Nathan (Nikki) Timmerman and Jordyn Shook, her siblings, Sheli (Craig) Bach and Troy (Brittny) Bronner, her parents, Dave and Judy Bronner, her grandchildren, Quinton Johnson, Jase Pettifurd, Sutton, Finley, Landon, Tessa and Camden Shook, Kenadi and Abel (to be born in March) Timmerman, nephew, Kael Bronner and nieces, Courtney and Sidney Bach, and Kacy Bronner.
Pallbearers will be Troy Bronner, Craig Bach, Robert Kirkman, Chad, Ryan, and Jeremy Shook.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Florence Boorn, Roy and Mary Bronner, and her uncle Bill Bronner.
If you wish to send flowers they may be sent directly to the funeral home or a donation to the charity of your choice in Deborah Shook's name.
