Debbie Jo Maples

Debbie Jo Maples of Nixa, Mo Received her angel wings on May 17, 2022, while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Debbie was born December 17, 1952, in Aurora, Mo to Joe and Betty Maples.  

For several year, Debbie worked at Crane Garment Factory. She worked at Empire Bank, where she retired after 25 year in 2015. After retirement Debbie Jo enjoyed trips to lake Eufala visiting friends, with her best friend Sherry. Also, their trips to the casinos. Most of all, Debbie loved planning and taking care of family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family.

Debbie Jo was saved at the age of 10, at Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was church treasurer for over fifty year. Deb was an example in everything she did in the church. From playing the organ for many years, taking care of church dinners, cleaning the church every week, to bringing others to church, and so many others that there are too many to mention. Debbie Jo truly had a servant’s heart.

Debbie Jo was preceded in death by her dad and mom, Joe and Betty Maples, and one brother Johnny Maples.

Survivors include her brother Kirby Maples and wife Sherry of Crane, Mo., sister Georgia Maples of Highlandville, sister-in-law Blondie Maples, two nephews Jason Maples and wife Melissa, Justin maples and wife Susie, one niece Sarah Jo Maples, step niece Lindsay Cutbirth, step nephew Derek Raulston and wife Dana, great nephews and nieces Dawson, Anna, and Reece Maples, Trey and Bailey Cutbirth, and Tori and Arnold Raulston. Debbie Jo’s best friend of Many year Sherry Medlin; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday May 23, 2022, at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Flood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday May 22 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
