Deanna Kay "Dede"� Vaughan, age 66, of Nixa, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011. She was born December 5, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of Elvin and Minnie (Thies) McCowan. In 1962 she and Carl Anthony Vaughan were united in marriage. Dede was employed by St. John"�s as a Nurse Assistant, Ward Secretary and Medical Secretary before retirement in 2002. She enjoyed ceramics and collecting dolls. She also had been a floral designer and floral department manager for Price Cutter. Survivors include: Her husband, Tony; three sons, Scott Vaughan and Angela, Burlington, Iowa, Keith Vaughan and Diana, Chesterfield, Missouri, and Brian Vaughan and Denise, Springfield; two grandchildren, Zachary Vaughan and Jack Vaughan; a sister, Carrie Leslie and husband Larry, and brother Max McCowan and wife Judy, all of Springfield; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 25, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rev. Rocky Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery, south of Nixa. Visitation will be 6:00 "� 8:00 PM Monday in the funeral home.
