David V. Manning

David V. Manning, age 67, of Sparta, died December 6, 2016. He was born December 27, 1948, in Greenville, Texas, to Bill and Aline Manning. On June 29, 1973 he was united in marriage to Carol Joyce McHaffie. To this union two daughters were born. David served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked for the Assemblies of God Headquarters for 36 years, retiring in 2010. David was a member of Ozark Assembly of God and served in different areas of ministry. He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, taking care of his bee,s and astronomy. Survivors include: His wife, Joyce; daughters, Michelle Manning and LaDonna Moore and husband Matt; three grandsons, Bennett and Corbin Moore and Zane Manning; his father Bill Manning; two sisters, Susan Perry and Anita Goldmann and husband Jurgen; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Daren Roten and Rev. James McHaffie officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Friday until service time.
