David Alan Fleming

David Alan Fleming, age 63, of Nixa, died in his home Saturday, December 16, 2023.  He was born May 29, 1960 in Mountain Grove, the son of John Losen “Jack” Fleming and Erma Norene (Rawson) Fleming.  As an infant the family moved to Nixa where he attended school and lived throughout his life.

Some knew him as David, some knew him as Erma, and many also knew him as Moe.

David was a loving father to Jerrica, serving both as mother and father in her upbringing, and so important in his grandson Ryder's life also. The life of the party David enjoyed being around his family whenever a gathering happened.  He loved and always was kind to animals. His cat will miss David very much. Motorcycles were a passion of David, both as a rider and mechanic.  He was a member of the Encapuchados 417 Motorcycle Crew.

Survivors include: His daughter, Jerrica Fleming and significant other Jake Linebaugh of Nixa; his grandson Ryder Fleming of Nixa; a sister, Tamey Bowling and husband Dennis of Hurley; a nephew and nieces, Jeremy Bowling, Allison Harrington, Autumn Hardin and Ashleigh MacPherson; a brother-in-law Gary Shaffer; extended family members and and his many friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, a step-son Jeremiah Harper, a sister Peggy Shaffer, and a nephew Jason Bowling.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Cremation was entrusted to Adams Crematory.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
