David Lee Clemons, age 39, of Springfield, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 in his home. He was born June 24, 1972, in Springfield, the son of Dewey Short Clemons and Lona Mae (Ellingsworth) Clemons. He attended Republic High School. Among his employments David worked for Anchor Fence Company. He liked to fish and hunt, and enjoyed his dogs. Survivors include: His mother, Lona Mae Clemons; two sisters, Brenda Maples-Halbert and husband Joe, Springfield, and Debbie Polk, Nixa; a brother, Dewayne Clemons and wife Diana, Niangua; nieces, Cindy Maples, and Lisa Johnson and husband Craig; nephews, Chris Polk and wife Nikole, and Gary Agee; great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Kevin Short officiating. Burial will be in Jones-Chastain Cemetery, south of Nixa. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Tuesday until service time.
