Daphne Faye Kehr, age 94, of Nixa, passed away after a long illness, Monday, March 20, 2013. She was born to Pleasant Oliver and Viola "Scott" Lee May 2, 1918, in Iberia, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Leonard Kehr, on November 19, 1937.
Daphne was an original member of the Dixon Church of Christ, Dixon, Missouri in 1948. She was recently a member of Union Hill Church of Christ, Nixa, Missouri. Daphne loved quilting, reading and crafts. Her friends say she was the best cook that ever lived and could cook anything. Daphne and her husband, Leonard, were "snow birds" and would spend the winters in Moore Haven, Florida, near Lake Okeechobee. They owned a mobile home in Moore Haven. Leonard was a fishing guide, and Daphne would cook for everyone in the mobile home. Daphne lived life to its fullest. She had many friends and will be dearly missed.
Daphne is survived by: two daughters, Ann Frizzell, and husband Bill, of Dadeville, and Rose Hughes, of Nixa; three grandsons, Jimmy Spears, John Moutell, and Robert Hodge; two granddaughters, Lisa Wood, and Aimee Byram, eleven great grandchildren, and many friends.
Daphne is preceded in death by: her parents, husband Leonard, son, David Kehr, daughter Deborah Davidson, grandson, David Lipscomb, granddaughter Cydney Visio, three brothers, Wayne Lee, Leslie Lee, and Mert Lee.
