Daniel Paul Parsch

Reverend Daniel Paul Parsch, age 67, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. He was born May 16, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Harold and Doris (Beyer) Parsch. On December 16, 1972, he and Monica Bertermann were united in marriage. Dan was a Missouri Synod Lutheran minister for 36 years. He was most recently a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri. He served as Pastor for churches in Bay City, Michigan, Urbandale, Iowa, and Ft. Walton Beach, Florida before retirement. Survivors include: His wife, Monica; son, Mark Daniel Parsch, daughter-in-law Anna, and grandchildren, Lily and soon to be born baby boy Parsch, of Overland Park, Kansas; son, Michael Paul Parsch and daughter-in-law, Jennifer of Clive, Iowa; two brothers and their wives, David and Susan Parsch, and Timothy and Sherri Parsch, all of Florida; a sister, Deborah Sumner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his mother-in-law, Lois Bertermann of Bloomington, Indiana; sister-in-law, Claudia Keller and husband Joe of Lillian, Alabama; brother-in-law, Jonathan Bertermann and wife Joan of Bloomington, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many, many friends. His parents preceded him in death. Dan loved the Lord, and his passion was serving the Lord"�s people. He could talk for hours about sports, especially baseball, old movies and history. He never forgot a face and the name that went with it. He loved his family and adored being "Papa"�. A memorial service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, November 1, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Springfield. Memorial donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, the American Heart Association, or to a charity of the donor"�s choice.
