Connie Gilbert

June 17, 1953 — November 4, 2017

Connie Elaine Gilbert, age 64, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. She had been battling bone cancer for the past five years. Connie was born June 17, 1953, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Braden) Thompson. On September 23, 1968 she and Larry Edward Gilbert were united in marriage. He preceded her in death in 2010. Her parents also preceded her in death. Connie was a homemaker and a helpmate to her husband. She loved the Lord and was a loving mother and wife. Being with her family was most important to Connie. Survivors include: Two children and their spouses, Christal and Mark Gihring of Altenburg, MO, and Ashley and Amy Gilbert of Sparta; six grandchildren, Leah, Carson, Wyatt, and Jedidiah Gihring, and Raylan and Presley Gilbert; a sister, Donna Hull of Sparta; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, November 7, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Jeremy Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Ozark Riverview Manor Employee Fund.
