Connie R. (Thompson) Crooks, age 74 of Nixa, MO, formerly of Denver, CO passed away peacefully on April 6, 2017. She will be remembered most for the steadfast faith, love of family and fun nature. After a very successful career in sales she relished her retirement years with Jerry. She enjoyed worshipping the Lord, traveling, antiquing, crafting and visiting with her family. Everyone that knows Connie states she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Connie is survived by her husband Jerry Crooks, mother Ruth Knox Dodge, brothers Don Knox (Kathy) and Lee Knox, sister Pam Budered (Steve), brother in law Chuck Schueller (Fran), children, Debbie Clark (Mike) and LaDonna Baca (Andrew), Julie Crooks (Otis) , Barry Crooks (Amber), Janel Strohmeyer (Shawn), 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by husband Tommie Thompson, father Kenneth Knox, brother Ron Knox (Joan), sister Linda Dixon (John) and son in law Kevin Clark.
Memorial service to honor her life will be held Friday, April 21st, 11:00 AM, New Life Center, 5250 W. First Ave., Lakewood , CO 80226, 303-233-0623. Luncheon: Arbor House 146700 W. 32nd Ave., Golden, CO 80401. A service will be held in Missouri, Saturday April 29th, 3:00PM , Ponce De Leon Baptist Church, 2818 Medical Springs Road, Galena MO 65656, 417-598-8338. Family is conducting the service on their own.
