Colton Lee Cline, 18, of Nixa passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield.
Colton was born on September 11, 2002 in Mesa, AZ; the son of Brian & Stacy (Martin) Cline. As he grew Colton came to find a love of many things – hockey games, classic trucks, and the outdoors. He practiced archery and cared for animals, especially horses. He also had a great love of people. Colton was a caring individual and always trying to lend a hand to those in need. At his Candlelight vigil, his principal recounted how Colton had once written him a letter offering any help he could following a tragic event at school. At the same event, Colton’s Life 101 teacher fondly remembered how he had told her to go into welding or another trade so she could “make some real money.” Colton was a man who seemed wise beyond his 18 years, proved time and time again by how he cared for his niece and nephew. He will be remembered as the best Uncle two kids could have. He will also be remembered for his Colton-isms: finding a way to say exactly what you just said in different words. Finally, at the end of his life, Colton was able to continue the love and care he showed in life by becoming an organ donor.
He is survived by his parents, three sisters, Shelby Nesmith and husband, Ricky, along with their two children, Levi & Addison, all of Oklahoma City, OK, Bailey Cline of Nixa, and Taylor Cline of Springfield; his grandmother, Pat Martin of Nixa; his aunt, Nicole Anderson; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Martin; and his grandmother, Carol Walters.
A Celebration of Colton’s Life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa.
