Clell Earl Wieneke

April 22, 1921 — September 17, 2014

Clell Earl Wieneke, age 93 of Nixa, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014, in Springfield. He was born to Adolph Earl Wieneke and Jennie Edith (Haynes) Wieneke in Bloomfield, IA. He was united in marriage to Josephine Brooks on August 29, 1942 at Lancaster, MO. Clell loved fishing, hunting, sports and most of all fellowship with brothers and sisters. Clell was a Jack-of-all-trades; including carpentry, plumbing and mechanical and enjoyed working with Christian Builders. Clell also liked playing board games and was very competitive. He was active in New Testament Church Planting and traveled throughout the United States for 12 years. Clell served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was in Tunisia, Sicily, Italy, The Island of Sardinia, and The Battle of the Bulge. After leaving the Army, Clell accepted Jesus as his personal savior, and dedicated his life serving in ministry. He attended Baptist Bible College, and was called to preach at several churches through his life, retiring at Calvary Baptist Church, Nixa, after serving as Pastor for 13 years. Clell was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Harold and Wayne, and sister Hazel Price. Clell is survived by his wife Josephine, of 72 years; children Mary Jo Blevins and husband Kenneth of Highlandville, David Wieneke and wife JoAnne of McCune, Kansas, Dennis Wieneke and wife Peggy of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Philip Wieneke and wife Cathy of Nixa, Amos Wieneke and wife Sue of Brookville, Ohio, Laura Cervin and husband Lou of Newkirk, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, brothers Kenneth Wieneke and wife Margaret, of Mission, Texas, Roy Wieneke and wife Marcella of Washington, Missouri, and Raymond Wieneke and wife Opal of Stewartsville, Missouri. A visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be held at Victory Baptist Church in Nixa, Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Decker Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at McConnell Bledsoe Cemetery, with full military honors. Memorial donations can be made to South Campbell Avenue Building Fund and New Testament Church Planting. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
