Claudette Mae Carey

Claudette Mae Carey, age 70, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017, in her daughter's home. She was born November 14, 1946 in Kansas City, the daughter of Fred Crutcher and Doris Jean (Allen) Crutcher. She was united in marriage to Wendell Jan Carey on May 7, 1966. Claudette was a member of Nixa Church of Christ. Her church family was very important to her. Claudette was loved by all of her family, and they will miss her. She enjoyed traveling and everything Disney. Survivors include: Three children, Patrick Carey of Aliso Viejo, California, Scott Carey and wife Carri of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Melissa Mangan and husband Stephen, of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Michael Carey, Caitlin Carey, Collin Carey, Shane Carey, Marissa Samuel, Oliver Mangan, and Arthur Mangan; a brother, Michael Crutcher; three sisters, Cathy Elliston, Jo Dalquest and husband Don, and Cristina Carey; and a daughter-in-law, Marcella Samuel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell, in 2008, her mother, Doris Pettinate, and father and step-mother, Fred and Marjorie Crutcher. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 26, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
