Clara Belle (Fox) Keithley age 103, of Galena, Missouri was born April 2, 1921 at home in Ponce de Leon, Missouri, to George Elmer Fox and Myrtle (Wells) Fox. She departed this life on April 4, 2024 at her home.
Clara lived in the Galena area most of her life. She and her husband, James Neal Keithley ran a general store in Abesville for many years.
Preceding her in death were: her husband Neal, her parents: a step-mother Viola Fox; three sisters, Jessie Marie Barton, Ethylen Short, and Ruth Ann Hemphill; a brother Ray Fox; a stepsister Dorthy Gray; and a stepbrother, Billy Andoe.
Survivors include: a daughter, Janice Farley and husband Jerry of Galena; three grandsons, James Brian Farley and wife Deanna of Galena, John Farley and wife Cynthia of Clever, Joey Farley and wife Cynthia of Galena; a granddaughter, Jeri Ann Farley of Lexis, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Betty Richardson of Cape Fair. She had many other friends and relatives.
Clara was a member of Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, but in later years attended Spokane Baptist Church where she made many friends. She was very talented, making porcelain dolls, and beautiful memory sprays.
The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 7, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Danny Fox officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Sunday. Burial will follow the service in Highlandville Cemetery.
