Clair Morton Whitson, age 84, of Ozark, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was born November 18, 1926 in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Clair and Vera (Washburn) Whitson. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Whitson was a railroad switchman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, in 2002, a brother, Frank Whitson, a sister, Lois Downer, and his parents. Survivors include: five children, Geryl Triscoll and husband John, Steve Whitson and wife Debbie, Larry Whitson and wife Jan, Tray Whitson and wife Peggy, and Lynn Scripture; two step-children, Colleen Hirtzig and Susan Peterson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Damos; other relatives and friends. Arrangements were under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Interment was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
