Christopher David Bowen, age 51 of Ozark, died Friday, July 25, 2014. He was born September 26, 1962 in Van Nuys, California, the son of John and Patricia (Rhoden) Bowen.
On April 11, 1992 Chris married Ann Robertson. Together they made a loving home where family and serving the Lord were priorities.
Chris was co-owner of Four State Industrial Supply. He was a member of Seminole Baptist Temple, Springfield. For the past seven years, Chris coached the national champion football team, Lighthouse Christian Chargers. He enjoyed barbequing, spending time at the lake, and riding four wheelers with his family. Chris was a passionate server of others. He volunteered at Camp Hope and Rare Breed for homeless youth. He and wife Ann served in the youth and college departments at First Baptist Church of Ozark for many years.
Survivors include: wife Ann of the home; three children, Brady Bowen of the home, Cassidy Bowen of the home, and Jon Knox and wife Kayla of Rogers, Arkansas; his brother, John Bowen and wife Ruth of Bonnots Mill; his parents in law, Neil and Norma Robertson of Lamar; his brother in law, Bryan Robertson and wife Penny; his nieces, Hailey Rook and Emmie Robertson; his grandniece, Rory Rook; and his nephew, Bryan Meyer and wife Kerry.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 29 in Seminole Baptist Temple, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Don Baier and Brad Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Collins Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 P.M. Monday in Seminole Baptist Temple.
