Charlotte Alice Beckner

Charlotte Alice Beckner, age 73, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014. She was born August 18, 1940 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Otis and Alice Kelley (Hisel) Campbell. On January 1, 1966 she and Gerald Lee Beckner were united in marriage. Charlotte and Gerald moved to this area in 1985. Charlotte loved her family and enjoyed all her grandchildren. Fishing with family was a favorite activity. Charlotte was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Breeden, and an infant child. Survivors include: her husband Gerald; son Larry Beckner and wife Julie of Council Bluffs, IA, daughter Deborah Martin and husband Herman of Glenwood, IA, son Rick Beckner of Council Bluffs, son Kelley Beckner and wife Traci of Nixa, daughter Ruth Scott and husband Robert of Phoenix, AZ, and son Jerry Beckner Jr. and wife Trish of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 9:00 AM Thursday, February 13, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Steve Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
