Charles Lee Watts, age 85 of Nixa, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021. He was born January 30, 1936 in Sparta, the son of Charles Ray and Beatrice (Gilbert) Watts.
Charles served his country in the U.S. Army. After his service he worked as a truck driver throughout his life, living most of his life in Denver, Colorado before moving to Elizabeth, Illinois. Charles had moved to Nixa in his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and telling truck driver stories.
Survivors include: his children, Tracy Watts of Clarksville, Arkansas, Melinda Schultz of Springfield, Charlie Watts of Commerce City, Colorado and Jennifer Watts of California; seven grandchildren, Ike Flynn, Trevor Flynn, Stephanie Smith, Cody Schultz, Dakotah Schultz, Casey Schultz and Tyler Roper; eight great grandchildren, Aeralyn, Irelyn, Kamlyn, Mollee, Caleb, Kaleigha, Kadence and Amelia; and a brother, Jimmie Watts of Nixa.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Pat Ingalsbe; and a grandson, David Watts.
Cremation and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with burial at a later date at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
