Charles Scott

Charles Rex Scott, age 81, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away in his home Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was born February 21, 1932 in Darlington, Missouri, the son of Byron and Myrl (Smith) Scott. Charles retired from the U.S.A.F. as Master Sergeant. He began a second career and retired from Verizon Phone Company. Survivors include: His longtime companion, Barbara DeWilde; children, Linda Collins, Stephen Hoyle, Bea Minniear, and husband Mike Greene, Dennis Scott, and wife Joyce, Marjorie DeWilde, and husband David Parker, Barbara Barrows, and husband Greg, and Kenny DeWilde, and wife Joan; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Aletha Taff. Military Honors and inurnment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, Missouri, Friday, March 15, at 2:30 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
