Charles Herbert Lee

Charles Herbert Lee, age 76, of Chadwick, passed away in his home Monday, December 30, 2013. He was born August 17, 1937, in Pierce City, the son of Charles Hubert and Irene Caroline (Shipman) Lee. He graduated from School of the Ozarks in 1955, and in 1960 was united in marriage to Jewel Nadine Jones. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army. Before retirement Charles was in the lime and fertilizer business. He served for over 25 years on the Chadwick Cemetery Board. He was a member of the Chadwick Board of Education and the Chadwick Water Board. Preceding him in death were a son, Charles Oren Lee, a sister, Darlene Wilkerson, and his parents. Survivor include; His wife, Jewel; two sons and their wives, Tim Lee and Julie of Chadwick, and Michael Lee and Traci of Nixa; six grandchildren, Laurie Martin, Caleb Lee, Braden Hale, Jimi Beth Teague, Kaylee Swindle, and Hunter Daugherty; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Riley Martin; and a brother, Bob Sapp of Rome, Georgia. A graveside funeral and military honors will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2013 in Chadwick Cemetery, with Pastor Bally Johnson and Pastor Clint Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
