Cecil E. Cowan

Cecil E. Cowan, age 76 of Mt. Vernon, left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2015. He was born July 14, 1939. On December 23, 1960, Cecil married Connie Harris, who preceded him in death in 2002. Cecil served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He loved his country and his family. He provided as he could and loved always. Survivors include: three children, Brian Cowan, Kimberly Cowan and Michelle Ballard and their spouses; his grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. Cecil was also preceded in death by his other siblings. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Elder Brad Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. immediately before the funeral. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
