Cathy Ann Brown

Cathy Ann Brown, age 55 of Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. She was born June 13, 1959 in Meridian, Mississippi, the daughter of Jessie (Boe) and Audrey (Lang) Rutledge. In 1976 Cathy was united in marriage to Daryl Brown. To this union two children were born and survive her: James Daryl Brown and wife Angela of Springfield and David Troy Brown of Springfield. Other survivors include: her grandson, Blake Brown of Springfield; her brother, David L. Rutledge and wife Shannon of Enterprise, MS; and two sisters in law, Gena Moore and husband Phillip of Meridian, MS and Janet Mowdy and husband Carl of Collinsville, MS. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents. Cathy loved children and never wanted to see one go hungry. She often sent snacks to school for the children in her daughter in law's class at Ozark East Elementary. Cathy loved vacationing in Disney World and taking other Florida vacations with her whole family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be immediately before the service from 1-2 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Care to Learn Ozark.
