Carolyne Jones

Carolyne Jones, age 88, of Nixa, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013. She was born August 28, 1925, in Selmore, to Raymond and Minnie (Glenn) Collins. Carolyne graduated from Ozark High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Donal Jones April 1, 1945, celebrating 51 years together, until Donal"�s passing in 1996. Her family describers her as tough as nails and soft as cotton. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, making meals from scratch, out of nothing, it seemed. Carolyne loved her family and doted on her children and grandchildren. She loved to work in the garden growing flowers of all kinds. She was a member of the Selmore Christian Church for many years, and was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church, until her passing. Carolyne is survived by her children, Doyle Jones, and wife Helen, of Nixa, Cynthia Matlock, and husband Warren, of Nixa; six grandchildren,12 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Carolyne is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Steven, one grandson, Bryan, and two Sisters, Ruth Dougan, and Joan Robertson. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McConnell Cemetery, Nixa. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Riverdale Baptist Church, Nixa.
