Carolyn J. (Leiboult) Welch, age 88, of Ozark, MO went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2018 following a brief battle with cancer.
Carolyn was born June 22, 1930, in Little Rock, AR, to Patrick Jack and Letha Jane (Ford) Morgan. She went to school in Little Rock and was an accomplished pianist and vocalist. She married Donald Ernest Leiboult on November 23, 1955. They moved to Littleton, CO in 1962 and then to Wichita, KS, in 1975. Don passed away in 1997, and she later married Harold Welch of Wichita.
Carolyn liked to sew, knit, work puzzles, and play with her Shih Tzu, Abby. She loved the Lord and was actively involved in her church. When she moved to Ozark at age 84, she delivered meals for the Ozark Senior Center, volunteered at Least of These, and sang in the Spirit Lifters at South Gate Baptist Church.
Carolyn is survived by her son Richard (Cathy) Leiboult of Ozark, MO; one grandson, Matthew (Kyla) Leiboult of Buffalo City, AR; one granddaughter, Melissa Leiboult Duvall of Republic, MO; and 7 great-grandchildren - Micah, Tucker, Finnley, Piper, and Malachi Leiboult of Buffalo City, AR and Paxton Schlegel and Dallas Duvall of Republic, MO. She is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Jack Morgan (1974), her step-mother, Irene Morgan (1984), mother Letha Jane Morgan (1984), her husband Donald E. Leiboult (1997) and her second husband, Harold Welch (2014).
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 504 W. Walnut Street, Ozark, MO 65721 on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with a memorial service following directly after at 6:30 p.m., led by Pastor John Black, South Gate Baptist Church, Springfield. A private burial will follow in Wichita, KS.
