Carolyn Sue Crook, age 60, of Ozark passed away Wednesday, July 01, 2015. She was born April 30, 1955 in Poplar Bluff to David and Dorothy (Graham) Nichols. After graduating high school, she attended Three Rivers Community College as and LPN nurse. Carolyn worked in labor and delivery at Lucy-Lee Hospital. She then obtained her EMT and Paramedic certificates where she worked at Doctor's Hospital, in Poplar Bluff. Carolyn also taught paramedic classes in Poplar Bluff. Carolyn moved to Ozark in 1987 where she worked at Cox Hospital on the ambulance crew. She later worked as a case worker at Alternative Opportunities, working with mentally challenged patients.
Carolyn's family described her as an animal lover, especially cats. She was a natural care giver. She loved to help people who could not take care of themselves. Whatever work Carolyn would engage in, she always put her whole heart into it. Carolyn's hobby was her work. Carolyn loved her family very much and she will be sadly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Jennifer Williams, her husband Jeff, of Ozark; two grandchildren Joshua and Lauren Williams; a brother Larry Nichols, his wife Vena of Nixa; Parents David and Dorothy Nichols; a niece Angela Wheeler, her husband Mike, of Ozark; and two great-nieces Myrah and Gracie Wheeler.
A grave service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
