Caroline Sue Horst

Caroline Sue Horst, age 67, of Springfield, passed away in her home Thursday, January 27, 2011. She was born June 25, 1943 in Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Storm) Sparks. Caroline graduated from Hoisington High School and attended Emporia State University. During her working career, Caroline was a legal secretary, homemaker, and business owner. She loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. She looked forward to landscaping and working in her garden. Survivors include: Two sons, Jared Horst and Damon Horst; four stepchildren, Linda, Gary, Brenda, and Karen; four grandchildren, Allyson, Rebeccah, Jillian and Devin; six siblings, LaDoite, Betty, Juanita, Judy, Melva and Larry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford, in 2006, two brothers, Dale and Alan Ray, a sister, Evelyn Fay, and her parents. A graveside funeral will be 1:00 PM Sunday, January 30 in Selmore Cemetery, south of Ozark. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
