Carole Ann Hopkins

August 22, 1933 — December 13, 2016

Carole Lawton Hopkins, age 83, of Nixa passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016. She was born in Pine Buff, AR on August 22, 1933. She is preceded in death by her husband O. V. Hopkins; parents William and Katherine Lawton; four sisters and a brother. She is survived by daughters Marcia (Marcus) Carpenter, Leslie (Rick) Davis, and Julie (Steve) Edwards; grandchildren Brett (Uyen) Green, Salina (Jeff) Hulland, Chris Todd, Ryan Todd, Casey (Buffy) Davis, McKenzie (Chris) Davis, India Humes; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends, including her forever friend Jordan Needham. Carole loved the Lord with all her heart and served him in many area churches; finally finding her church home at Hopedale Baptist Church, in Ozark. She will long be remembered by those who loved her for her always happy, smiling face and loving personality. She loved good old southern gospel music and many great classic hymns. She looked forward to the day she would finally meet her Lord and Savior. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2016 at Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
