Mrs. Carole E. Handy, age 83, of Ozark passed away December 9, 2011. She was born October 14, 1928 in Nixa, Missouri the daughter of Elisha Randolph and Bertha Mae (Doran) Pruitt on April 12, 1941 she was united in marriage to Ray Hanks Handy. Carole was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Ozark; she was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Linda Harrell, five brothers, Byron, Earl, Clinton, Sherman and John Pruitt; three sisters, Edith Cruse, Gertrude Evans and Imogene Hashagen. Survivors include her husband, Ray Handy, Ozark, Missouri; daughter, Sandy Craig and husband Jesse, Springfield; six grandchildren David Lee Harrell and wife Betsy, Knoxville, Tennessee, Charles Gragg and wife Tina, Springfield, Missouri, Susan Harrell, Knoxville, Tennessee, Carrie Renee Gragg, Springfield, Missouri, Karen Harrell, Knoxville, Tennessee and Jamie Ray Gragg, Ozark, Missouri; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2011 in Adams Funeral Home Ozark, with Bob Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time Monday, December 12, 2011 in the funeral home.
